Thanks to considerable know-how, premium raw materials, special attention to design, and meticulous craftsmanship on every single exhaust, Ragazzon guarantees extremely high-quality and durable products.

Success is also based on the distinctive sound that characterizes all Ragazzon mufflers and complies with the ECE approval regulations.

The company also provides a competent, technically commercial after-sales service that professionally and quickly offers solutions for every need. A large, modern, and carefully managed warehouse ensures worldwide express delivery service.

With respect for people and nature, Ragazzon continuously takes on new challenges, placing tradition and dynamism combined with passion and a spirit of innovation at the center.

STEEL PASSION

Located near Treviso in northeastern Italy, Ragazzon was founded in the 1980s by Enzo Ragazzon, who, after gaining extensive technical experience in steel processing within the automotive and shipbuilding industries, initiated the production of reinforced series exhausts.

In the 1990s, the company began active and fruitful research in the tuning world and launched the first lines of high-performance sport exhausts. In 1992, Ragazzon successfully entered the Italian market with the first mufflers approved under ECE regulations by the Bavarian TÜV, sparking growing interest in the European and global markets.

In 1998, Ragazzon produced the first duplex line (dual tailpipes on both sides) for the Fiat Punto GT, which also underwent testing and approval.

That same year, this model was presented as the first in its category at the Motor Show in Bologna and served as a springboard for the new Top Line, which since then has been imitated not only by exhaust manufacturers but also by car manufacturers for small cars.

Today, the Top Line includes more than 150 models. The company also offers a wide range of stainless steel sports mufflers complying with ECE regulations and some lines for Group N race cars equipped with FIA-CSAI approved catalytic converters.

SHAPING STAINLESS STEEL TO CREATE UNIQUE PRODUCTS

The production cycle begins in the factory with the storage of raw materials, "a great natural wealth," which, after strict inspections, are carefully processed into the three main components required for the Evo Line, Top Line, and UTP lines: pipes, mufflers, and tailpipes.

The first component, the AISI 304 stainless steel connecting pipe, is initially cut and then shaped and processed as needed.

The second component, the muffler, is made from polished AISI 304 stainless steel strips, while various perforated AISI 409 stainless steel pipes lined with sound-absorbing, heat-resistant material are used inside to ensure high product quality. The muffler is then sealed with TIG-welded AISI 304 stainless steel plates to guarantee maximum durability.

The third component is the tailpipe, the visible part at the rear of the vehicle. The company offers a wide selection of tailpipes with different designs, manufactured with high precision. The internal shaping and tapering of the tailpipe significantly influence the muffler’s sound. Once finished, the tailpipe is hand-polished to a high gloss.

The components are then assembled, resulting in a high-quality, high-performance sport exhaust.

The fully welded exhaust undergoes a final quality control. Before reaching the finished goods warehouse, the Ragazzon trademark, a symbol of guarantee, is engraved.

The production of the H2 – Flow Line differs from previous lines as it uses advanced hydroforming technology. A single-piece round stainless steel pipe is processed using high-pressure equipment. The pipe is placed into a specially designed mold, where high-pressure fluid shapes the metal surface against the mold walls, creating the entire muffler housing to precise dimensions.

LEADING IN INNOVATION

Close cooperation between the commercial, technical, and production departments ensures effective communication and accurate information processing, which is essential to anticipate market developments and consistently design cutting-edge products.

The technicians thoroughly examine each vehicle, carefully study the diameters and thickness of different stainless steel pipes, and calculate paths and bending angles to improve exhaust flow. They also determine the most suitable muffler in terms of shape, size, and manufacturing technique to ensure proper noise levels without hindering free exhaust flow.

The first hand-made prototype is installed on the vehicle to check space requirements and mounting, ensuring easy installation in the car.

APPROVALS

QUALITY, GUARANTEE, SAFETY

Ragazzon exhausts undergo strict approval tests by vehicle certification authorities to obtain ECE approval. These inspections cover various phases such as system wear, backpressure checks, noise level testing during driving and at idle.

The process also includes analysis of the condition and durability of materials used in manufacturing. After successful testing, product quality is certified by issuing the ECE approval certificate, valid throughout the European Union, Switzerland, and other non-EU countries.

Installing an approved muffler on a vehicle does not require modification of the vehicle’s registration according to Directive 70/157/EEC and subsequent amendments.

Test and approval numbers issued by the Italian Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport or the German vehicle registration authority and TÜV-KBA in Flensburg (Germany) are engraved on a plate attached to the muffler and included in the paper certificate provided with the product purchase.
