2. Inventory Data

Privacy Notice for the AI Chat Assistant
Data processing is carried out exclusively for the following purposes:
- Assistance in selecting a suitable sport exhaust system for your vehicle
- Answering technical questions regarding sound, certification (street legality), installation, and maintenance of our products
- At your request: Transmission of your contact details to our sales team so that we can send you an individual offer or call you back
- Technical operation, error analysis, and protection against misuse (e.g., excessive requests from a single IP address)
Legal Basis
Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (Performance of pre-contractual measures at your request): For the actual consulting communication aimed at a purchase.
Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (Legitimate interest): For technical operation, prevention of misuse, and ensuring high-quality advice. Our legitimate interest is efficient, resource-saving customer service. Your interests, fundamental rights, and freedoms have been taken into account in a balancing process; you have the right to object at any time pursuant to Art. 21 GDPR.
Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR (Consent): If you voluntarily provide us with your contact details (name, email, phone number). You can withdraw this consent at any time; the lawfulness of the processing carried out until the withdrawal remains unaffected.
Transfer to Third Countries
The processing of the chat assistant itself (server, database, AI model) takes place within the EU. Insofar as individual services used as part of the consultation involve a transfer to a third country — particularly the USA — this only occurs with an adequate level of protection: The respective providers are either certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and/or the EU Commission's standard contractual clauses apply.
Storage Duration
In your browser: Your chat history is stored in your browser's local storage and is automatically deleted after a maximum of 30 minutes of inactivity. Your chat history is not visible on other devices. You can also delete the data yourself at any time via your browser settings (clear website data or local storage).
On our servers: Your chat histories and technical logs may be stored and evaluated in pseudonymized or anonymized form for purposes of quality assurance, error analysis, and improvement of the chat system. Data is not shared with third parties for advertising purposes. Storage only lasts as long as necessary for the stated purposes. The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in functioning and high-quality advice); you can object to this processing at any time according to Art. 21 GDPR.
Your contact data (if voluntarily submitted): Will only be stored as long as necessary to process your inquiry or to perform a contract, at most until the expiry of legal retention periods (regularly ten years according to § 257 HGB, § 147 AO).
Your vehicle registration photo (if you use the OCR function): Is processed exclusively for the one-time automatic readout of HSN/TSN key numbers and is not stored permanently thereafter.
No Automated Individual Decision-Making, No Profiling
The chat assistant does not make automated individual decisions within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR that would have legal effects on you or similarly significantly affect you. There is no profiling, no behavioral scoring, and no personalized pricing. Your entries are not merged with data from other sources.
No Use of Your Data for Training AI Models
Your chat entries are not used for the training of AI language models by third parties. The AI processing provider we use has contractually guaranteed not to use your inputs for training the underlying models.
Your Rights / Objection / Opt-Out
According to Art. 15–21 GDPR, you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection to processing. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority; the authority responsible for us is the Saxon Data Protection Officer (Devrientstraße 5, 01067 Dresden).
The use of the chat assistant is voluntary. If you do not wish to use it, simply do not open the widget or close it via the X icon. You can use our entire shop without restriction even without "Franzi".

Note on the Reliability of AI Responses
As mentioned, AI-supported systems can, in individual cases, provide incorrect information ("hallucinations"). Prices, specific product availability, TÜV/ABE certification eligibility, and installation recommendations should therefore always be verified via the regular product pages in our shop or by personal inquiry with our team before making a purchase decision. If an answer from the chat assistant appears obviously incorrect to you, we would appreciate a brief notification to [email protected].
